James C. Hord Obituary

James C. Hord, 84, a resident of near Milan for more than 40 years died at the Hatcher Hospital Monday afternoon about four o'clock. He had been in the hospital only a short time.

Mr. Hord was born March 24, 1853 at Metcalfe County, Ill (actually Barren Co. KY). He moved to near Milan in 1894. Survivors include a daughter, Miss Elizabeth Hord, Milan; a sister, Mrs. Kate Shirley, Summershade, Ky., and a brother, R.W. Hord, Farina, Ill. Mrs. Hord preceded her husband in death July 11, 1931.

Funeral services were held this (Thursday) morning at 10 o'clock at the Milan Baptist Church. Burial was made in the Milan Cemetery.
