this Cloe needs to be researched more. From: Akibbytay@@aol.com This question is for JEAN <jeant@@mail.cybertron.com> (you indicate a Sharer/Taylor connection) or anyone else who cares to answer it. I have Chloe Taylor, born abt 1802, married to Henry Sharer of Butler Co., KY listed as daughter of James Taylor, s/o Moses, Sr., and Chloe Marshall. I also have Chloe Taylor, born abt 1801, married to Henry Sharer of Butler Co., KY listed as daughter of Moses Taylor Jr., Sidney Marshall (sister of Chloe Marshall). I believe that the root of this problem comes from L. Rhea Taylor, Sr.'s book "Pioneers Moses Taylor and Elizabeth Prevatte Taylor, Sr., Kentucky and North Carolina" which lists at pages 59 and 60 the children of James and Chloe as: 1.-Fornifer, 2.-John, 3.-William, 4.-James Moses, 5.-Sidney, 6.-Edwin, 7.-Esther, (there is no number 8), 9.-Sylvester. A concluding comment on page 60 reads "Chloe, was on visit to her daughter, Chloe Sharer, Butler County, Kentucky died and buried there." Right or wrong, I assumed that Chloe was the missing number eight child. Also on page 53 of L. Rhea Taylor, Sr.'s book he lists the children of Moses Taylor, Jr., Sidney Marshall as: 1.-Moses, III, 2.-Marshall, 3.-Chloe, married - Henry Sharer, Butler County, Ky., 4.-Sidney (Sida), 5.-Sally. In concluding comments on page 53 he states "Moses, Jr., before his wife. She went on a visit to her daughter, Chloe Sharer in Butler County, died and is buried there." He also lists a Chloe Taylor born in 1830, d/o William H. Taylor, married to a Henry Sharer. At about this point I inserted a paste-it note that says "too many Chloe Taylors married to Henry Sharers". Before I violate one of my principles and do some basic research, I thought one of you may already have the answer. Kibby
