| Notes for Nathaniel R. Poe |
| Hello Cindy: ......... My Grandfather, Robert Jackson Poe was the youngest child of Nathaniel Poe and Sarah Taylor Poe. He was born in Duck Hill on the home place July 6, 1857. Their were 10 children. The names you show seem to be at odds with my family history. Will you let me know where you got your information from. My mother, Faye Ruth Poe was born in TX Sept. 6, 1906 and passed away in 1993. She married my father, James Louis Wynn in 1925. I have a brother, James, Jr., born Sept. 15, 1927 and I was born Jan. 27, 1929, both of us in L.A.. Co. California. Patricia F. Wynn-Askay 962 Grand Avenue Fillmore, CA 93015 805-524-5194 patmikeaskay@@earthlink.net -------------------------------------------------------------- The 1850 Choctaw Co MS census gives his age as 53. His widow's pension application says he was 16 when he joined for service (War of 1812) in 1814. 17 |
