I visited my great grand parents, Carlous and Lora Taylor on their farm outside El Reno, OK, just as you did. We live in New Jersey and would make the trip to El Reno every few summers to visit my grandparents and our other relatives there, including Carlous and Lora. I show Lora as d/o Jesse Stearling Taylor and Matilda Jane Halloway, Jesse as s/o Gerrard Banks Taylor and Nancy Stearling, Gerrard as s/o Moorman Taylor and Livinia Banks, Moorman as s/o Zachariah Taylor and Laurana Morris, Zachariah as s/o George Taylor and Lucy, George as s/o Simon Taylor and Elizabeth Lewis, Simon as s/o Richard Taylor and Sarah Cornett, Richard as s/o Richard Taylor and Dorothy Taylor and Richard as s/o William Taylor and Mary, both born in England about 1548. My wife Mary and I took a trip to northern Virginia last spring in search of Palmer and Taylor ancestors. We found several. One of the things we found was a county record, a transcription, of the will of Simon Taylor, 1668-1729. I made a copy. I have other information on both Taylor families. The information I have on Moses Taylor's ancestors is from David Taylor's info on RootsWeb's WorldConnect Project. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------ Carlous was the first of the Taylors to move to OK. He talked Mack and Irvin into going to OK. We used to have Taylor reunions at El Reno, OK when I was a little girl. We have made about 4 trips to Butler County and plan on returning this summer to do additional research on both of my grandparents families.
