Otis and Zora lived all their lives in Butler County, except for a short time in the thirties when they lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Otis farmed, traded livestock and real estate, served several years on the Farm and Home Administration Advisory Board and on various farm committees. He was active in Republican politics all his life and did not miss voting in any election after he was 21 years old. He was an active member of Banock Masonic Lodge, Banock Eastern Star, and the United Methodist Church. 55
