| Information from Noel Parrish [email protected] Feb. 1999..I sent off for what I thought may be my gggrandfather's pension papers from the Civil War. After a year...I just NOW...received the papers. These papers are for a Garrard Banks Taylor. (Not my ggfther, apparently...was looking for Benjaman Taylor.) From scanning the documents quickly here...he apparently lived in Butler Co at least between 1880 - 85. Looks like he also may have lived in Grayson Co., TX?? *Married to Susan Halloway, Nov. 1. 1866 in Welches Creek, Butler Co., KY by Wiley Embry Record of marriages exists in Morgantown, Butler Co., KY *Not previously married *Children: Mary Ellen Taylor b. Dec. 26, 1867 (dead) Druceller Embry(?), b. Apr. 23, 1870, Malinda J. Corder, b. Dec. 29, 1872, James Edward Taylor, b. Aug. 8, 1875, Charles Taylor b. Sept. 13, 1878, Austin G. Taylor, b. Oct. 14, 1881 *Private, Co. I, 52nd Ky Vol. Mtd. Inf. , Enrolled at Woodbury, KY on Sept. 1863 *He was b. Dec. 11, 1844, Trimble Co., KY. 5'6", light complexion, blue eyes, light hair. *Places lived: Butler Co., KY 1865-1888, Sherman(?), Grayson Co., Texas, 1888 - 19?? (can't read it) *Lists that he was the son of Garrard Banks Taylor that married Nancy Sterling. It lists 5 kids for them including Garrard "Jr" *Lists him being 81yo as of 9 June 1926 (Physician affidavit) *Garrard d. Mar. 30, 1929 in Sherman, Tx. copy of death cert. enclosed. *Susan d.
