Notes for William "Bill" Pleasant Lee
Bill as he was called was married to Onnie, sister of Aileen, who married James Roy Lee, brother of Bill. Family lore has it that the Lee brothers worked all week for a sack of beans for pay.
***
Nieces and nephews of Bill said that as they were growing up they were not allowed to mention Bills name in the home. All the adults would say about him was that he was a bad man and nobody needed to know anything about him.
***
A letter from a lawyer, (David Earl Lee, nephew to Bill, saw this letter) to Mrs Onnie Lee stated "Take it easy, don't rock the boat" Signed by the lawyer. This letter is in the possession of Suson's nieces of Mrs James Roy Lee.
***
Bill changed his name for a period of time. Could it have been Bill Davis?
***
In Guthrie Ok, there is a cave, the nick name for this cave is the Dalton Cave. Dad said this is where the Dalton Brothers used to hide out. I have been to this cave... in it are initials and names etched into the rock. Bill Lee's name with a picture of a gun is etched there as well.
***
I am told that someone has seen the grave of Bill in Tulsa Co., but when I have asked for the information they will not share it with me.
