Asa and Elizabeth had 14 children
Asa and his brother John A. J. Lee fought on opposite sides in the Civil War. One son of Asa, James Richard Lee, died April 6, 1862 at the Battle of Shiloh, Asa was there. 91
Some records show he was born in Coffee Co., but Coffee Co. was not formed until 1836 He died either in Bedford, Coffee
or Rutherford "My grandmother told me that her mother and her mother's sisters would smuggle food to their father and
