Although his tombstone says Gray was born in 1872, census reportsindicate he was born in 1 8 6 5. He was listed with his parents duringthe 1870 and 1880 Censuses. He and Gertrude we r e f arming in CoffeeCounty, where Gray was also a merchant, during the 1900 Census. Theyw e re l iving at Willacoochee, where Gray was a merchant, during the1910 Census. Gray's tombs t one s ays he died Sept. 15, but his deathcertificate says Sept. 22.
