Zachary T. Meeks was born in 1848, the ninth child of Thomas Meeks.Zack Meeks apparently serv ed in the State Troops under General Cabbol(?) during the Civil War. On 12 August 1925 he ap plied for a veteranspension. A pension of $150 was approved. On 14 May 1887, Zack Meeksmarr ied Mrs. Adline Ferguson, in Columbia County, Arkansas. He islisted in the Columbia County c ensus in Waldo Town (LamartineTownship) in 1900 and 1910 as a farmer. Toward the end of hi s life,after the death of his wife, he returned to the Clear Springscommunity and lived wit h the W. H. Rogers family. Zack and his wifeapparently had no children. Zack Meeks died o n 25 January 1931. Noadditional information is available.
