The Grismer, Grisemer Family
Johan Adam Grisemer
Johan was born in Germany May 1856 and came to the United States in 1878.
We don't know where in Germany he came from or who his parents were. He
was a beer merchant in Newburgh, New York. In 1881 he married Ida Blumberg.
Johan died January 29, 1925 in Newburgh. If you have information about

Ida Blumberg Grismer
Ida was born in Germany January 1864 and came to the United States in
1874 in Buchwald, Germany. She was the daughter of August Blumberg and
Henrietta Schoffski Blumberg. She had a brother Amos who was living with
her and Johan Adam according to the 1900 Federal Census.
Amos was born in the United States August 1878.
Ida died December 22, 1945 in Newburgh, New York at her home. Johan and
Ida had 11 children: Ralph Adam, Carrie, Wilhelmina, Ida, Anthony,
John Adam, Jennie, John Adam, Frank, Margaret & William Robert. If you
