DR. J. M. HENRY


Was born in the state of South Carolina in 1830, and at the age of three years his parents moved to the state of Tennessee and remained three years, thence to Pike county, Mo., where the Doctor received the most of his education. In 1853 he began the study of medicine, and attended his first course of lectures at the St. Louis Medical College in the winter of 1855-6. He located at Atlas, Pike county, Illinois, in the spring of 1856, and commenced his first practice. He remained there and at Rockport until the winter of 1859. He received his degree at Keokuk, Iowa, in 1860, and in May may of the same year was married to Miss E. A. Green, of the state of Louisiana, since which time he has been in active practice of medicine in Brockport.
