Was born in Pike county, Missouri, in the year 1833. In 1850 he commenced the study of medicine, and in 1854 he
graduated from the St. Louis medical college, receiving his diploma, when he at once commenced practicing.
In 1865 he removed to Pleasant Hill, in Pike county, Illinois, where he now resides, engaged in the practice of
his profession and the sale of drugs, medicines, etc., and is doing well. The Doctor has been very successful in
his treatment of diseases, and is highly esteemed by those who know him, both as a physician and a citizen. With
his ability and energy he is sure to succeed.
