On Sep 4, 1795 John Gorrell received of Mr. Thomas Durbin full satisfaction for all debts, for and concerning his wife and daughter Eliza. Witnesses: Benjamin Pritchard, Micajah Mitchel. Recorded Oct 8, 1795. (No details about the debt.)
JLG M 167 Deed: Gorroll, Wil1iam, From, David Smith, Deed, 1794, JLG, M, 167. Pg162. On Dec 27, 1793 William Gorrell agreed to pay David Smith 168 pounds 15 shillings for 50 acres known as "Trible Union", located in Susquehanna Hundred. This is the same land owned by Richard Eagen, conveyed to Andrew Ferguson and self since his decease by James Eagen of Washington Co PA. Full amount was paid on the same day. Signed David Smith. Witnesses: Jno Barclay, Wm Barclay, David Sweeney. On Jan 6, 1794 deed of conveyance to Jno Barclay and Ewd Crall, Justices of the Peace. Recorded Feb 11, 1794.
HD X 9 Bill of Sale: Gorrell, John & Avarilla, To, Platt Whitaker, Deed, 1812, HD, X, 9. Pg162. On 7/25/1812 Platt Whitaker paid $150 to John and Avarilla Gorrell and James and John Griffith for a 8 year old female slave named Cloe. The document also mentions Winston Gorrell and Francis Smith, but does not provide their relationship to others. Signed John Gorrell (mark), Avarilla Gorrell (mark), James Griffith, John Griffith. Witnesses: Wm Smith, Mathey Maton (mark) before Wm Smith, Justice of Peace. Recorded Aug 10, 1812.
ALJ 22 399 Deed: Gorrell, Gosham & Rachel, To, Henry Spence, Deed, 1823 (recorded 1869), ALJ, 22, 399. Pg169. On May 26, 1823 Henry Spence agreed to pay Garsham and Rachel Gorrel $20 for 80 combined acres known as "Coens Edition", "Coens Neighbor" and "Land of Promise", a 1 3/4 acre lot along the Susquehanna River. This document was recorded in 1869, but back dated to 1823. In 1869 Rachel is the wife of Garsham, Henry Spence is her brother and deceased Henry Spence her father (died intestate). Witnesses: Z Bayless, Joseph Davis Jr. Recorded Aug 3, 1869, A S Jarrett, clerk.

Andrew Oct 20, 1870 by John Finney and wife and B F Crowin and wife (Liber
ALJ 24, 458). Margaret is the wife of Andrew. Witnesses: J C Clarke,
Justice of Peace. Recorded Sep 11, 1885, A L Jarrett, clerk.
