The obituary of Oscar Koehler, son of Oscar August Koehler, Jr. and Beatrice Goins Koehler, was carried in the �Eagle Democrat� 28 November 2001.

�Oscar A. Koehler, Jr., age 79, of Warren, died Monday, November 19, 2001, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home.

He was born November 15, 1922, at Warren, a son of the late Oscar August Koehler, Jr., and Beatrice Goins Koehler.

He was a World War II U. S. Army Veteran, a member of the Warren Lions Club, a member of First Presbyter-ian Church, the American Legion, VFW and the retired owner of Koehler�s Barber Shop.

Surviving is his wife, Willie Belle Gorman Koehler, whom he married April 30, 1950, at Moro Bay.

Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer�s Funeral Home of Warren. Active pallbearers were James Troy Goins, Clifton Poole, Benny Johnson, Charles Goins, Phillip Derryberry, Monty Johnson and George Freeman.�

Levi Gowen, a native of North Carolina and his wife Susan Mary Gowen, a native of Georgia, were residents of Carroll County about 1886, according to Sharon Gowens Gabel, a great-granddaughter of Amarillo, Texas.

William Henry Gowen, son of Levi Gowen and Susan Mary Gowen, was born November 23, 1874 near Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He was married about 1908 in Hempstead County, Arkansas to Georgie Annie Sprigs. In 1910 they lived at Hope, Arkansas, and in 1916 they lived at Ashton, Arkansas. Georgie Annie Sprigs Gowen died about 1925 at Idabell, Oklahoma and was buried there. William Henry Gowen died January 16, 1940 at Clayton, New Mexico.

Alma Gowens, daughter of William Henry Gowen and Georgie Annie Gowen, was born in 1910. She was married at Hope in 1926, husband's name Henderson. He was a far-mer and a sawmill employee. Children born to them in-clude:

L. Adele Gowen, daughter of Henry Gowen and Mattie Brown Gowen, was born September 19, 1915 near Datto. She was married about 1933 to Roscoe Dalton and later to Clyde McIlroy. In 2001 she lived at Florisant, Missouri. She died there at Delmar Gardens Nursing Home in St. Louis November 7, 2001 at the age of 86. She was buried in Masonic Cemetery there.

Vivian Rawlings Gowen, 88 of Datto, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, at Oakdale Nursing Facility in Jonesboro. She was born Aug. 13, 1912 near Datto, a daughter of the late George Raw-lings and Nellie Morgan Rawlings. Her husband, Willie E. Gowen, pre-ceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1997. Funeral ser-vices were held Tuesday at Datto Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Boyce Cate officiating. Burial followed in Nelson Cemetery near Reyno under direction of Ermert Funeral Home of Corning.

William E. Gowen received permission from the Clay County Rationing Board in 1943 to buy one Class 3 tire, according to an article in the �Clay County Courier.�

�F. M. Gowen� was a witness in Craighead County Court April 12, 1879. He was called as a grand juror November 1, 1879. He served two days as an election judge in Brookland township February 12, 1893, according to Book E, page 603. He served as an election judge two years later on February 12, 1895, according to Book F, page 352. On April 16, 1898 he again serve on the grand jury.

Mary Ann Gowen, 28 was married to Samuel E. McMahon November 30, 1879, according to Crawford County Marriage records.

Nathan Gowin was born about 1808, probably in Tennessee. He was married about 1840, wife's name Louisa. She was also born in Tennessee, in 1810. Nathan Gowin deserted his wife and children, according to Tim Gowin, a descendant of Stigler, Oklahoma. Tim Gowin suggests that the family lived in Whitfield County, Georgia near the Tennessee state line.

Louisa Gowin was enumerated in the 1850 census as the head of a �Mulatto� household with four children, �one named Charles, one named Mary and two older children,� according to Taryn Gowin.

Louisa Gowin appeared at age 70 in the 1880 census of Craw-ford County, Arkansas living in the household of her son, Charles Albert Gowin. She died there shortly afterward and was buried in Salem Cemetery.

Charles Albert Gowin, son of Nathan Gowin and Louisa Gowin, was born in Tennessee April 22, 1844. He served as a Confederate infantryman during the Civil War, according to the research of a descendant, Quentin Walkup and his wife Ruby Gowin Walkup of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Taryn Gowin shows him as an aide to Gen. John Brown Gordon of Walker County, Georgia.

John Brown Gordon was born February 6, 1832 in Georgia. Though he was a lawyer with no military training before the Civil War, John Brown Gordon proved to be an excellent commander in battle. After recovering from five bullet wounds in the Battle of Sharpsburg, the native Georgian even looked the part of a fierce fighter, sporting a deep scar on the side of his face from one of his wounds.

Gordon was given command of a Georgian brigade in the Army of Northern Virginia and fought in the Battle of Chan-cellorsville and in the Battle of Gettysburg. At Gettysburg Gordon helped the wounded Union Gen. Francis Barlow, with whom he established a lifelong friendship.

As a brigadier general in the Battle of the Wilderness on May 6, 1864, Gordon planned and carried out a brilliant attack. According to an onlooker, "Driving on furiously, he struck back the Federal front . . . forced them off the field in utter rout. Brigade after brigade fled from the Federal works."

Promoted to major general on May 14, 1864, Gordon led a division during the Battle of Spotsylvania. He was an active combatant until the end of the war, fighting in the Battle of Cold Harbor; in the Shenandoah Valley; outside Washing-ton, D. C, at Monocacy; at Winchester; at Fisher's Hill; and at Cedar Creek.

He commanded the attack on Fort Stedman at Petersburg and led his men in the Battle of Appomattox in the last charge of the Army of Northern Virginia.

After the Confederacy surrendered, the distinguished general returned to Georgia, where he resumed his law practice in Atlanta. Elected a U.S. senator in 1873 and 1879, Gordon resigned in May 1880 to promote a railroad venture. He was elected governor of Georgia in 1886, and returned to the U.S. Senate from 1891 to 1897. In 1903 Gordon published an account of his Civil War service entitled �Reminiscences of the Civil War.� He was elected Commander-in-Chief of the United Confederate Veterans in when the group was first organized and held the office until his death. He died in Miami, Florida January 9, 1904 at the age of 71 and was buried in Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta.

Charles Albert Gowin was married about 1870 to Serena I. Evatt. They were enumerated in the 1870 census of Walker County, Georgia, according to the research of Taryn Gowin. They removed to Crawford County, Arkansas prior to 1872. Serena I. Evatt Gowin died March 22, 1874, perhaps in child-birth and was buried in Salem Cemetery. Charles Albert Gow-in was remarried about 1876, wife's name Li Adeline. She was a widow with two children whom Charles Albert Gowin adop-ted.

They were residents of Cedarville, Arkansas in 1877 when a son, John Gordon Gowin was born. "Elder C. A. Gowin" was a resident of Crawford County in 1879.

The family of Charles Albert Gowin, appeared in the 1880 census of Crawford County, Jasper Civil District, near Ft. Smith:

�Elder C. A. Gowin� performed the marriage ceremony of Claude B. Coble, age 23 and Elva Harris, age 15, January 17, 1892, according to Crawford County Marriage Book D, page 75.

"My grandfather was a Baptist minister and aided in es-tablishing several churches in Crawford County," Tim Gowin wrote March 13, 1991. "He later went to Okla-homa as a missionary to the Indians of Eastern Indian Territory. He died in 1903 at the age of 70." Tim Gowin wrote May 17, 1991, "Our Aunt Serepta Gowin Walker was buried near our grandfather."

Mary L. "Polly" Gowin, daughter of Charles Albert Gowin and Serena I. Evatt Gowin, was born in Arkansas about 1871. She appeared as an eight-year-old in the 1880 census of her father's household. She was married about 1891, husband's name Clarke.

William Alexander Gowin, son of Charles Albert Gowin and Serena I. Evatt Gowin, was born in Arkansas about 1873. He was recorded in the 1880 census of his father's household as a six-year-old.

Millissa Gowin, daughter of Charles Albert Gowin and Serena I. Evatt Gowin, was born in Arkansas about 1874. She was recorded as a five-year-old in the 1880 census of Crawford County. She was married about 1892, husband's name Wellington. �Melissa L. Gowen� was married December 16, 1894 to Joseph L. Oliver, according to Crawford County marriage records.

John Gordon Gowin, son of Charles Albert Gowin and Li Adeline Gowin, was born January 22, 1877 at Cedarville. He was married at Stigler, Oklahoma October 14, 1900 to Martha Missouri Bullin who was born November 30, 1881 in Franklin County, Alabama to James Polk Bullin and Mary Tiffin Bullen.

In 1902 John Gordon Gowin and Martha Missouri Bullin Gowin operated a grocery store in Belmont, Oklahoma in Pottawatomie County. He was a Baptist preacher in Okla-homa until 1929 when he moved to Briscoe County, Texas to join his son, Charles Gowin, who had moved there earlier.

John Gordon Gowin bought a cemetery lot in the Quitaque, Texas Cemetery December 16, 1935. Martha Missouri Bullin Gowin died at Wynona, Oklahoma July 30, 1954.

John Gordon Gowin died of atherosclerosis May 25, 1973 at the age of 96 in Swisher Memorial Hospital, and he was bur-ied in Resthaven Cemetery, Quitaque, according to Swisher County, Texas Death Book 7, page 30.

Charles Gowin, son of John Gordon Gowin and Martha Mis-souri Bullin Gowin was born August 20, 1902 at Belmont where his father operated a grocery store. He was married in Perryton, Texas to Mary Ellen Montgomery December 23, 1921, according to Ochiltree County Marriage Book 2, page 78. She was born July 4, 1909 at Rumus, Oklahoma to James Elick Montgomery and Emmaline Bullen Mont-gomery. Emmaline Bullen Montgomery was a daughter of James Polk Bullen and Mary Tiffin Bullen.

Charles Gowin appeared in Briscoe County in 1927. He purchased 160 acres of land from J. M. Wise December 2, 1938, according to Briscoe County Deed Book 36, page 483. He was listed in the 1949 rural directory of Briscoe County as the owner of 241 acres of land located two miles east and one mile north of Quitaque. He appeared in the 1952 direct-ory.

Subsequent to that time he had a leg amputated. In 1971, at the age 69, he continued to live in Quitaque.

Reba Pearl Gowin, daughter of Charles Gowin and Mary Ellen Montgomery Gowin, was born October 21, 1922 in Beaver, Oklahoma. In 1947 "Reba P. Gowin, clerk at the Fair Store," lived in Ft. Worth, Texas at 1625 Hammond, according to the city directory.

She was married January 26, 1949 at Pampa, Texas to Mar-ion W. Wilson, son of Otis Wilson and Ruth Bradshaw Wil-son, according to Briscoe County, Texas Marriage Book 4, page 19. He was born January 25, 1923 at Gasoline, Texas. In 1973, Reba Pearl Gowin Wilson, a teacher, lived at Pampa.

James Gordon Gowin, son of Charles Gowin and Mary Ellen Montgomery Gowin, was born December 15, 1927 at Quitaque. He was married, at age 16, to Martha G. Sutton November 25, 1927 by Rev. John F. Johnston, minister of the First Baptist Church, Turkey, Texas, according to Bris-coe County Marriage Book 3, page 206. A divorce was granted to James Gordon Gowin and Martha G. Sutton Gowin January 15, 1945.

James Gordon Gowin was remarried to Mrs. Juanita Ann Reed Phelps December 17, 1945, according to Briscoe County Mar-riage Book 4, page 226. The bride was born October 9, 1922 at Bonita, Texas to Isom Francis Reed and Elva Watson Reed. James Gordon Gowin was shown as a driver for Lee Way Mot-or Freight Lines in the 1952, 1953 and 1955 editions of the Amarillo, Texas city directory. He and his wife, Juanita Ann Reed Phelps Gowin lived at 2812 Northwest 3rd Street in 1952. In 1953 they lived at 109 Central Avenue, and in 1955 they lived at 2636 Northwest 12th Street in Amarillo. The couple was divorced shortly afterwards.

James Gordon Gowin was married to Mrs. Leona Francis Shockley November 18, 1958, according to Parmer County, Texas Marriage Book 3, page 340.

Mrs. Juanita Ann Reed Phelps Gowin was remarried March 5, 1959 to George Washington Reynolds, according to Pot-ter County, Texas Marriage Book 27, page 84. James Gordon Gowin died in 1988. Of Leona Francis Shockley Gowin nothing more is known.

Juanita Ann Reed Phelps Gowin died at age 78 July 1, 2001 at Hale Center, Texas. Her funeral was held July 3 at the First Baptist Church in Quitaque, Texas and she was buried in Flomot Cemetery, Flomot, Texas. She was survied by five brothers, James Reed of Hominy, Oklahoma, E. G. Reed of Flomot, George Reed of Silverton, Texas, Leo Reed of Amarillo, Texas and Cecil Reed of Whitesboro, Texas.

Betty Ann Gowin, first child of James Gowin and Juanita Ann Reed Phelps Gowin, was born in Matador, Texas December 14, 1948, according to BVS File 169617. "Betty Anne Gow-in" was married to Edward Earl Johnston August 25, 1966 in Amarillo, according to Potter County Marriage Book 34, page 339. "Betty Gowin" was listed as a "carhop" in the 1967 edi�tion of the Amarillo city directory.

James Edward Gowin, son of James Gordon Gowin and Juan-ita Ann Reed Phelps Gowin, was born January 3, 1948 at Mat-ador, Texas. He was married about 1968, wife's name, Mary. In 1969 they lived at Newton, Kansas and in 1970 at Ft. Worth, Texas. In 2001 he lived in Plattsburg, Missouri.

Linda Susan Gowin, daughter of James Gordon Gowin and Juanita Ann Reed Phelps Gowin, was born July 7, 1950 in Childress, Texas, according to Childress County Birth Cer�tificate No. 9497. She was married in July 1966 to Ronald Mack Hughes. In 1971 they lived in Plainview, Texas and in 1971 at Hale Center, Texas. In 2001 they continued at Plainview.

Douglas Wayne Gowin, son of James Gordon Gowin and Juanita Ann Reed Phelps Gowin, was born February 16, 1953 in Amarillo. He was married December 28, 1974 to Linda Marie Sampley. In 1975 they lived at Tulia, Texas. In 1976 they were at Ardmore, Oklahoma. In 1978 they lived at Decatur, Texas where in died in that year.

Harvey Gordon Gowin, son of John Gordon Gowin and Martha Missouri Bullin Gowin, was born December 23, 1906 at Prague, Oklahoma. He died May 3, 1933.

Fannie Gowin, daughter of John Gordon Gowin and Martha Missouri Bullin Gowin was born about 1910 at Prague. She was married about 1930 to A. W. Shulte. In 1973, she lived at Mercedes, Texas.

Grace Vera Gowin, daughter of John Gordon Gowin and Martha Missouri Bullin Gowin, was born October 18, 1912 at Prague. She was married about 1940 to Archie Lee Tar-ter. She died August 20, 1959 at Friona, Texas and was bur-ied at Muleshoe, Texas. In 1973, a Grace Gowin Newell lived at Shawnee, Oklahoma. Tim Gowin referred to "Mae Newell" in a letter dated May 17, 1991.

Mary Neva Gowin, daughter of John Gordon Gowin and Martha Missouri Bullin Gowin, was born December 11, 1914 at Prague. She was married September 14, 1935 at Turkey, Texas to Clarence Eugene Barrett who was born March 2, 1915 at Courtney Flats, Oklahoma. He was a son of Arthur Clarence Barrett and Virgie Roberson Barrett. He was killed in an automobile accident. She died November 21, 1964 at Tulia, Texas and was buried at Quitaque.

John W. Gowin, son of John Gordon Gowin and Martha Missouri Bullin Gowin, was born in Oklahoma about 1904. In 1973 he lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma at 471 South 94th East Avenue.

"John Wilson Gowin," who was born March 15, 1921 at Prague, Oklahoma was discharged from the U. S. Navy June 1, 1943. At that time he showed his residence at Waynoka, Oklahoma. His discharge was recorded in Briscoe County, Texas where he was shown to be single and a rancher at the time of his discharge.

Cassie C. Gowin, daughter of Charles Albert Gowin and Li Adeline Gowin, was born in Arkansas about 1879. She ap�peared as a one-year-old in the 1880 census of her father's household.

Garland D. Gowin, regarded as the son of Charles Albert Gowin and Li Adeline Gowin, was born about 1884. Gar-land D. Gowin was a resident of Stigler, Oklahoma in 1924, according to the research of Hoyt L. Goin of Russellville, Arkansas in 1990.

Melvin Gowin, son of Garland D. Gowin, was born at Stig-ler about 1924. He was deceased by 1990, survived by a wife who was a professor at Arkansas Tech University at Russellville.

Tim Gowin, son of Garland D. Gowin was born at Stigler about 1926. He continued there in 1990. Tim Gowin had a niece, Ruby Gowin Walkup of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. "Tim Gowins," a retired ironworker died July 22, 1996 at Stilwell, Oklahoma and was buried in Antioch Cemetery at Mallory, Oklahoma, according to the July 23, 1996 edition of the "Tulsa World."

Jones B. Gowin, son of Li Adeline Gowin and her first hus�band, was born in Arkansas about 1870. He appeared in his step-father's household in the 1880 census as a 10-year-old.

Georgia L. Gowin, daughter of Li Adeline Gowin and her first husband, was born in Arkansas about 1874. She was recorded in the 1880 census living in household of her step-father.

James A. Gowin, orphan and adopted son of Charles Albert Gowin and Li Adelline Gowin, was born about 1870 in Arkan-sas. He appeared as a 10-year-old in the 1880 census of Craw-ford County.

John William Gowin of Lawton, Oklahoma was an unidenti�fied descendant of Charles Albert Gowin and Li Adelline Gowin.

Mary "Polly" Gowin, daughter of Nathan Gowin and Louisa Gowin, was born about 1847, perhaps in Whitfield County, Georgia.

William A. Gowin was married to Ellen Rogers December 16, 1894, according to Crawford County marriage records. Children born to William A. Gowin and Ellen Rogers Gowin are unknown.,

Oren Gowing, who was born February 3, 1908 and died April 16, 1934 and Ester Gowing, assumed to be his wife, who died May 3, 1964 were buried in Dora Cemetery, Dora, Arkansas, according to "History in Headstones, Crawford, County, Arkansas."

William Henry Goyne who was born about 1900, was a resi�dent of Fordyce, Arkansas in 1926. William Henry Goyne, Jr, son of William Henry Goyne, was born at Fordyce March 19, 1926. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy during World War II and was stationed at San Diego, California. There he was married to Edith Dean Alexander, a native of Texas.

William Henry Goyne, Jr, driver for Curry Motor Freight Lines, and Edith Dean Alexander Goyne lived in Lubbock, Texas in 1947, according to the city directory. In 1950 he was listed as a mechanic living at 411 Avenue G. In 1952 the directory carried him as a clerk living at 1122-46th Street in Lubbock. From 1954 to 1959 he was plant foreman for Brown Supply Company, living at 512-55th Street. In 1961 he was a trucker for Caprock Sand & Gravel. In 1962 he was a mechanic for Durham Construction Company and continued to live at 512-55th Street. In 1963 and 1964 he was a salesman for Yellowhouse Machinery Company living at 913-44th Street.

In 1966 and 1967 William Henry Goyne, Jr. was employed by Tilson-Godsey, Inc. as a salesman and lived at 5016 An-drews Highway, Odessa, Texas, according to the city direc-tory. In 1967 they lived at 3214 N. W. County Road.

William Henry Goyne, Jr, salesman for Yellowhouse Ma�chinery Company and his wife lived at 1307-49th Street from 1968 through 1972, according to the Lubbock city directory. In 1974 and 1976 he continued with Yellowhouse Machinery Company in Lubbock and lived at 5403-8th Street, Lubbock.

J. E. Goings, a South Carolininan who lived in Mississippi from 1851 to 1857 was enumerated as the head of a household in the 1860 census of Drew County:

John Goins was born about 1835, place and parents un-known. He volunteered into Confederate forces about 1862 in an Arkansas regiment. It is believed that he was serving in Gen. John Morgan's raiders which was ravaging the coun-tryside of central Kentucky in the fall of that year. He died there in Bowling Green, Kentucky February 13, 1863, per-haps as the result of enemy action. He was a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church of Drew County, according to the "Due West Telescope," a church paper published in Due West, South Carolina, which reported his death.

Chloe Gowing was born in Denning, Arkansas in 1916. He became a coal miner at the age of 16 at Altus, Arkansas. He was married about 1936 to Agnes Harris Denning who was born at Hartman, Arkansas in 1920. In 1939 Chloe Gowing and Agnes Harris Denning Gow�ing lived in Hogan Township near Altus.

Paul Gilbert Gowing, second child of Chloe Gowing and Agnes Harris Denning Gowing, was born February 7, 1939 at Altus, according to his birth certificate.

He was married to Mary Kay Vick April 28, 1962 at Terrell, Texas, according to Kaufman County Marriage Book 26, page 1. She was born November 11, 1939. In 1963 they lived at 616 North Catherine in Terrell, according to the city directory. Paul Gilbert Gowing was a sophomore student at East Texas State University, Commerce, Texas in 1964 and showed his home address as 616 North Catherine in Terrell.

Paul Gilbert Gowing, Jr, was born to the couple, February 7, 1965 in Kaufman, County, according to BVS File No. 148187.

On December 3, 1965 Paul Gilbert Gowing and May Kay Vick Gowing received a warranty deed form Louis H. Roden and wife to a house and lot in Terrell for $14,494.44, accord-ing to Kaufman County Deed Book 486, page 545. They re-ceived a deed from Barrow Corporation to a lot in North Acres Addition, Austin, Texas, March 5, 1971, according to Travis County Deed Book 4017, page 875. Paul Gilbert Gowing and Mary Kay Vick Gowing lived at 906 Floradale, Austin in 1972, according to the telephone directory.

Tom E. Gowing and wife, Marlene Gowing received a war�ranty deed from Macatee, Inc. on October 5, 1965 to a house and lot in Terrell for $16,750, according to Kaufman County Deed Book 485, page 587.

Mary Ellen Goings was born in Tennessee in August 1871 of parents who were also born in Tennessee. She was enumer-ated June 21, 1900 at age 28, according to the 1900 census of Greene County, Enumeration District 31.

James Goen, 23 and Martha E. Barton, 18 were married April 18, 1861, according to Hempstead County Marriage Book B, page 3. Of James Goen and Martha E. Barton Goen nothing more is known.

Bartlett Cornelius Goines was born December 5, 1836 in Ala-bama of parents unknown, according to Mary Gross, a great-great-granddaughter. Bartlett Cornelius Goines was married about 1860 to Margaret Jane Woodul, according to Cathy Straley.

�Bartlet Goine� and John Goine, possibly brothers were enumerated in the 1860 census of Hempstead County.

�Bartlett C. Goine, age 28� was married to Mary Ann Barham, age 18, December 6, 1865, according to Hempstead County Marriage Book B, page 88. Bartlett Cornelius Goines died April 26, 1913 in Hempstead County, Arkansas.

Children born to Barlett Cornelius Goines and Margaret Jane Woodul Goines are unknown. Children born to Bartlett Cornelius Goines and Mary A. Barham Goines include:

Henry Goins was married December 28, 1876 to Polly Wal-ker, according to Hempstead County marriage records. Child-ren born to Henry Goins and Polly Walker Goins are un-known.

Martha E. Goins, age 20 was married to James B. Streed, age 23 July 20, 1865, by J. J. Byers, minister of the gospel, ac-cording to Hempstead County Marriage Book B, page 74. [Book A, page 81 shows her age as 22].

J. D. Gowen was married March 31, 1884 to Mrs. Mittie Smith, according to Hempstead County marriage records. Children born to J. D. Gowen and Mittie Smith Gowen are unknown.

John Goin, 32 was married to Persler [Priscilla?] Frances Ellis July 19, 1861, according to Hot Springs Marriage Book 3, page 93.

Carl J. Goines died July 20, 1958 and was buried by Mrs. Joyce Jones Goines in Memorial Gardens Cemetery four miles west of Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Nancy Goings was married to William T. Bailey, �both of Lawful age,� September 3, 1860, according to Hot Springs Marriage Book 3, page 51.

Della G. Goins, born February 19, 1897, died September 19, 1938, is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Hot Springs.

Dewey W. Goins, born October 30, 1898, died March 22, 1940, is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Hot Springs.

Dora Ethel Goins, born September 8, 1901, died April 3, 1906, is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Hot Springs.

Jane Goins, 22, was married to Richard Davidson, age 22, December 30, 1861, according to Hot Springs County marriage records.

Thomas H. Goins, born August 28, 1871, died April 13, 1915, is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Hot Springs.

William W. Gowin, age 26 was married February 25, 1851 to Martha A. Davidson, age 16, according to Hot Springs County Marriage Book 3, page 77. Bobbie Jones McLane who published "Hot Springs County Marriage Records, 1825-1880" wrote December 14, 1993 that the marriage of William W. Gowin and Martha A. Davidson Gowin was the only Gowin marriage recorded in Hot Springs County during that 55-year period.

Virginia Wardlaw Goyne who was born September 26, 1915 at Rogers, Arkansas died September 13, 1990 in a nursing home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was buried in Lockes�burg Cemetery. Survivors included two nieces, Sue Smith of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Jean Ghent of Hot Springs and three nephews, Terry Smith of Pine Bluff, Robert Smith of Lockesburg, Arkansas and Joe King of Texas.
