Letterhead: J. M. Harris, Dealer in Drugs and
Patent Medicines
Willow Springs, Missouri March 1 1888
Mr. D. S. Ferguson
Sir, I have the honor of submitting a list of hands
beginning at Pine Grove School House and working West in
the opening of the Willow Springs and Ava Road.
(Note: number after each name is Days
Worked. I do not understand why persons with
no days worked are listed, but felt list significant to
establish residence in the area at the approximate time
of the missing 1890 census.)
