RESEARCH |
Because of the written errors through the years in connecting this family with the true ancestors, and sorting them from other Dunham families, we need to be extremely careful to hopefully find documentation for our family connections to Jonathan Singletary (later Jonathan Dunham), believed eldest son of Richard Singletary. The DUNHAM DNA PROJECT is now helping to sort families based upon genetic markers. Jonathan's known male descendants carry the same Y-DNA markers as descendants of Richard Singletary who kept the SINGLETARY surname.
Additional comments, verifications, stories, documentation, etc. are welcomed as I try to piece together the history of this apparently diverse character of a man and his family with the help of others. If you have information to share, you will be given credit for your contribution. If you have documents that you can scan or additional resources, I will place these on this site. Thank you to those of you who have already shared your finds.
