site on the web for obtaining information about your ancestors. HOWEVER it is NOT a free site, and unlimited
access is only via subscription.

Operated by the Statue of Liberty – Ellis Island Foundation,
Inc., this site is THE place to visit if your ancestors arrived in the United
States via Ellis Island.
This database is a compendium

Genealogy Websites...
This site lists the top 1300 most popular genealogy websites.
This site has grown in
size and popularity since coming online a few years ago. It is operated by the Mormon Church (Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – LDS) but you do not have to be a member
to access the site’s massive databases of information, some of which are
available nowhere else.
