Dear Sister,
Received your letter some time ago, but have not had time until now to answer
it, or I mean I was just too lazy.
I got a letter from Anita last week and also from Florence. Florence said that, "Bill Loy's have Twins". That sure seems funny. She
also said that, "Yelineks' lost 25 hogs with cholera, but the other neighbors
have theirs vaccinated."
We have surely been having some nice weather, but are paying up for it today.
The ground is all covered with quite a thick coat of snow.
The hired man brought his girl home for supper last night.
We all went over to Alexanders' Thursday when they had wood sawyers. They were
all over here to dinner that day. That was only about the third time I had
been to Alexanders' and they live right across the road.
I think I will go home for Easter. I haven't been home since Christmas. I am
going to take Sylvia home with me. Black's might go as far as Plattveille with
us on Saturday, then I want to get a new coat and dress and a wrist watch.
I won't get to come to Chicago until after school is out. I want to go to
summer school, too. I would like to come when Anita does if possible. I wish
you would tell me when you would like to have me come.
If I have made lots of mistakes don't blame me because I have been listening to
these people talk and theirs (sic) no end to crazyness. I just got a soaking
of water.
As news are (sic) scarce I will close and mind my dress.
Yours truly,
Gladys Iverson
