Gertrude Amelia Iverson was born July 9, 1897 in Clifton, the second child of Almond and Nettie Iverson and passed away Dec. 16 at Livingston at the age of 48 years. Her girlhood
days were spent at the farm home of her parents, later in this village where
she has since resided.
At an early age she became a member of the Methodist church and Sunday school
and was a faithful attendant. Gertrude was of a very kind and generous nature
and made liberal contributions to local organizations, also annual donations to
the Moody and American Bible Institutes. She was very devoted to her parents,
sisters and brothers and her nieces and nephews were very dear to her.
She was preceded in death several years ago by her mother and leaves to mourn
her passing her father, five sisters, Mrs. Will Shorts (sic) of Linden, Mrs. Oscar Brandemuehl (sic) of Fennimore, Geneva, Alice and Florence at home.
Four brothers, Raymond of Livingston, Leonard, Homer and Clarence of Clifton, 23 nieces and nephews and other relatives survive.
