Alta Mae Jones, 80, of Greensburg, IN, died Oct 6, 1996, at the Decatur County Hospital in Greensburg, IN.  Services were held Oct 9th at 10 a.m. at the Bovard Funeral Home, Versailles, IN. Burial was at the South Park Cemetery, Greensburg, IN.
She was the daughter of Rev. Lark and Elizabeth Mills and was born July 25, 1916 at Hammond, KY. In 1934, she united in marriage to Arnold Jones.  Additional Information: Haddock descendant
She was survived by her husband, Arnold; one son, Jason Jones, Cincinnati, OH; nine daughters, Lovella Jewell, North Vernon, IN, Elaine Sensenig, Grennsburg, IN, Kitty Busteed, Versailles, IN, Una Engle, Belmont, NC, Geneva Langdon, Marietta, GA, Janette Bramell, Westchester, OH, Jeanie Ballard, Carmel, IN, Christine Polcsan, Manassas, VA, Sue Ann Goffe, Kettering, OH; one brother and two sisters; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  Additional Information: 1920 Federal Population Schedules, US Census, Knox Co., KY, Road Fork, house # 50, family # 50, listed Larkin Mills, age 43, born in KY with KY born parents. His wife, Lizzie, was given as age 38, born in KY with KY born parents. Children were given as KY born and listed as James, age 18; Nancy B., age 15; Sallie, age 13; Cloyd, age 12; Thomas, age 8; Mary, age 6; and Alta M., age 3 years and 6 mos. He lived between Green Johnson and Oliver Bargo.
