To the Memory of Michael Harney of Clonrollagh, died 30 Dec 1896, age 83. His wife Bridget [Dolan] died 9 July 1881, age 52. Their sons: Dan died 2 Oct 1888, age 24. John died 16 April 1883, age 17. James died 15 July 1933, aged 61. His wife Anne [Nolan] died 11 March 1934, aged 59. Their daughter Mary Anne died 17 Oct 1933, age 17. Erected by James Harney. 56. Harney (of Rockfield) . Have Mercy O Lord on the Soul of Owen Harney, who departed this life April 25, 1875, aged 73 years. Also his wife Ellen [probably McNamara] Harney, who died March 8th 1878, aged 79 years. Erected by their daughter Anne Harney. 57. O Lord have mercy on the soul of Michael Harney who died January 23rd 1871, aged 67 years. Erected by his son John Harney. 58. And his wife Sarah [Kenna also Kinay], who died July 13th 1890, aged 84 years. Also their sons: Dan, who died Nov 6th 1886, aged 52 years; and Thomas who died June 20th 1913, aged 78 years. R.I.P. Drum parish is a small rural parish which is part of Saints Peter and Paul parish, in nearby Athlone, County Roscommon, Ireland. The Old Drum Cemetery is located next to the church, and this is where the dead from the Drum portion of the parish have been buried for at least the past two hundred years.
