- The Monroe County,
Ohio tax
records for the year, 1821 -- The names of the taxed citizens are now
available for 1821 by clicking on Monroe County,
Ohio Tax Records.
- A database of the latitude and longitude
coordinates of selected locations in Monroe County
is available. These coordinates are
based on measurements made with Global Positioning System (GPS) units and
can locate specific locations to within just a few feet. Read more about the GPS

- Data on Specific Cemeteries -- This site has a large
section devoted to information on the more than 225 cemeteries that are
known to exist in Monroe
County. This cemetery-database can be accessed

here or below. In
addition, initial data for newly found cemeteries and cemeteries that have
not been previously inventoried an be accessed by clicking on one of the

cemetery has several Schell family members
- 1890 Veterans
Census, Monroe County, Ohio -- Along with the 1890
census, schedules were made of Union Civil War veterans or their
widows. These are the Special
Schedules of the Eleventh Census (1890) Enumerating Union Veterans and
Widows of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
