I have been in touch with Ruth Harrison Jones, author of the Harrison
Heritage! Ruth graciously mailed me the missing issues to make a complete
set. She is doing great - has remarried her childhood sweetheart and couldn't
be happier. She gives us all her best wishes for future success in finding
our missing Harrisons and is no longer working on Harrisons. It was an real honor to have spoken with her as
we are indebted to her for her hard work and achievements in Harrison Genealogy.
Pat Kruger of Bryan TX donated a number of issues of the Harrison Heritage
we have been digging through - many thanks to Pat. Our intention is to
put all the info contained within this wonderful series in the Repository.
Stay tuned for lots of info like census records and other great data !

articles from this series in addition to adding the data to our
Repository Database

Dr. Charles W. Johnson
of San Antonio, TX has done extensive research on Buncombe Co., NC HARRISONS.
I have scanned several of his Harrison Notes
which is very interesting - with lots of land records. Many thanks to Kay
Harrison Taber of San Jose, CA for getting us in touch with Dr. Johnson! My mom and I have
a particular interest in Gideon and Michael Harrison mentioned in several and
the CRAIGs. Gideon was in the Battle of Kings's Mtn - resided for a time
in Washington & Greene Co., TN - a hop a skip and a jump from Buncombe
- so do let us know if you find anything! The OCR had lots of problems
with this, hope I caught all the mispelled words it couldn't recognize
:-).
Enjoy - Dr. Johnson has done a lot of marvelous work!
