We have so many grandkids between us that trying to put them all on one page was getting hard, so I decided to put Brandon and Makenna on a separate page as I have more pictures of them than any of the others.

Brandon and Makenna have been in my life from the second they each drew a breath.  I was most fortunate to be in the delivery room when each of them was born.  I have to tell you that was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life.  Maybe for that reason they are as close to my heart as my own two children.

This page is also for Brandon and McKenna's Papa Ron.  He lives in Missouri and never got to see them when they were tiny.  He does not hardly get to see them much now, but with the internet and family pages like this, it helps keep families in touch.

This is the most current picture of Brandon.  He was at his grandma Trish's house and she has a digital camera.  What a godsend to us grandmas.

This is my little sweetie, Makenna.  She, too, was at grandma Trish's house.  This is a thumbnail so you can click to see the bigger picture.  She is getting freckles!  She reminds me of her momma so much.  Erin had lighter colored hair, actually it was a blonde when she was little and Makenna has a bit of red to hers.   Hmmm, wonder if she got that from this grandma?

This next picture is of them a bit younger.  I think Makenna is about 6 months old with her big brother.  The two lights of my life.

I look at them now and they have grown so much since this picture was taken.  Brandon is learning to play the violin and Makenna is learning to read.  Yep, my Angel Babies!

One thing I have discovered is that this picture is part of a group of four generations that I have brother/sister pictures of.  Maybe I have a tradition starting.  With each successive generation to get at least one brother/sister, brother/brother, sister/sister picture to pass down.  Have to think about this one.

This is Brandon only a few hours old.  He was such a pretty baby.

Here is Makenna, also only a few hours old.

This is one tuckered out little boy.  He had a busy day getting his new little sister.  The girl holding him is Suzy.  She was one of Erin's best friends and she worked at the hospital and was there to help with Brandon and give moral support to Erin.

This is a bit out of sequence, but this is my son Mathew holding his brand new nephew, Brandon.  If my son had been wearing a shirt with buttons, they would have all popped off.  He was so happy to be an Uncle.  One day he is going to be an excellent Daddy.  My son is a bit shy, but one day some young lady is going to "knock his socks off."  Then I will get to be a grandma again.

Here Brandon, Erin and Makenna are having a "get to know you" moment.  Poor little Makenna was covered in hivey type red blotches.  The nurse at the hospital said not to worry, they would go away, she just had extremely sensitive skin.  Well, it took almost two weeks for the blotches to fade away.

Brandon dropped a piece of cookie and the helpers are trying to help him find it.  The "helpers" are Rhianon, Nicodemas and Cynder.

Here he either has the cookie in his mouth or in his hand and the helpers are ever watchful in case it falls again.

This next picture is one of my favorites.  Our house was fairly secure and one day we could not find Brandon.  He did not know how to open doors and it was just a mystery.  We found him playing out in the backyard with the dogs.  So, how did he get out?  This next picture tells the whole story and was a little escape artist.  We just figured he saw the dogs doing it and he must have figured it it was good for them, it was good for him.

Brandon and the doggie door.  Nicodemas is directly behind him and the ever watchful Cynder is making sure her "baby" is okay.  She hovered over him from the minute we brought this baby home until boy and dog parted ways.  She was so gentle and loved him like he was her puppy.  This little boy could not have had a better "guardian angel."

Here is the little "escape artist."  This was taken two years ago.  He sure has grown and looks a lot like his older brother and his dad.  He will always be "my baby."

I was not sure how this would hold up on the scanner.  It was a picture Brandon drew for me.  It is a drawing of his dad's navy ship, the U. S. S. Cowpens.  It was a guided missile cruiser and was an escort ship for the U. S. S. Kitty hawk.  Brandon has only seen pictures of it.   He was just a baby when his daddy was in the Navy.    He calls me Mema or Meema.  It was easier for him to learn that than grandma.  Although now he does call me grandma and when I call he knows my voice and always says "Meema!"  Just makes my heart sing.  As like the title of the song, these two little ones are the light of my spirit.

Here is a picture of Brandon with his birthday cake.  He was living in San Diego when he had his first birthday, so the next time he came for a visit, we had to have a cake for him.

At first he was not sure what to do with it, but it did not take long.  I remember he was just laughing so hard and so was his Meema.  Oh, and the mess!!  It was worth it though.  A memory for the rest of my life.
