Timothy Wood werd geboren op woensdag 20 maart 1878 te Atkinson, Henry County, Illinois. Hij overleed voor 1920. Hij was de zoon van Hiram en Mary Van Landschoot (1858 Rock Island, Illinois - 1927 Creston, Iowa). Ik heb niks meer kunnen vinden van Timothy na zijn registratie voor W.O. 1 in 1918, vermoedelijk is hij tijdens de oorlog of kort nadien overleden. Hij kwam voor in een telling van 2 juni 1880 in het huishouden van Mary Emma (Queen) Van Landschot en Hiram Paul Wood in Western Township, Henry County, Illinois. Timothy was in 1900 stalknecht en landarbeider. Henrietta Hayner 90 jaar uit Omaha, Nebraska (nichtje van Tim en Wellington) vertelde mij in september 2000 aan de telefoon dat beiden weg gelopen zijn van huis rond 1895 en nooit meer terug gekomen zijn. Het geen veel verdriet gaf aan hun moeder Mary E. Van Landschoot. Hun ouders waren toen al gescheiden. Verder opzoekingen brachten aan het licht dat hij voorkwam in de telling van 30 april 1910 te Yownship, Bisshop Town, Inyo Co., California. De 32-jarige Timothy staat vermeld als stalknecht, is single en geboren in Illinois, zijn vader ook geboren in Illinois en zijn moeder heeft hij als geboren in Belgiê, wat niet correkt is. Zij was in Illinois geboren. Timothy Wood moest zich laten registreren op 5 mei 1918 te Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Hij werkte toen als paardeknecht bij John Bauker in Chicago, Illinois. Adres van dichste familie was zijn moeder Mrs. Mary Wood in 603 West Jefferson Street in Creston, Iowa. Timothy was toen reeds al jaren van huis weg.

Van Wellington is nog minder te vinden. Hij werd geboren op 24 april 1874 in Milan, Illinois en was de oudere broer van Timothy. Enkel in de telling van 1880 is hij met zijn moeder terug te vinden.

MARY VAN LANDSCHOOT

Timothy Wood was born on Wednesday, March 20th, 1878 in Atkinson, Henry County, Illinois. He died before 1920. He was the son of Hiram and Mary Van Landschoot. After his Registration for World War 1 in 1918 , no more records were found. He probably died in the 1920's. He appeared in the census of June 2nd 1880 in the household of Mary Emma Van Landschoot and Hiram Paul Wood in West Township, Henry County, Illinois. Henrietta Hayner 90 years from Omaha, Nebraska (cousin to Tim and Wellington) told me in September 2000 on the phone that both run away from home in 1895 and never came back. It gave much grief to their mother Mary E. Van Landschoot. Their parents were separated at the time. Further researches revealed that he appeared in the census of April 30th, 1910 to Yownship 1 Town Bishop, Inyo Co. , California. The 32 - year old Timothy was listed as stable boy, single and born in Illinois. Timothy Wood was drafted on May 5, 1918 in Chicago , Cook County, Illinois. He then worked as a groomsman at John Bauker's farm in Chicago, Illinois. Address of closest relatives was his mother Mrs. Mary Wood at 603 West Jefferson Street in Creston, Iowa. Timothy was than 20 Years away from home.

Almost nothing was found on Wellington. I only found out he was born on April 24, 1874 in Milan, Illinois and was the older brother of Timothy. He was only listed in the census of 1880 with his mother.
