The Farley family of Hollis, New Hampshire, traces back to George Farley born sometime around 1615 in England. George is said to have come to the colonies aboard the ship Lion, or Lyon, and became one of the founders of Billerica, Massachusetts.
Source material for the following are mainly the books: EARLY SETTLERS WEST DUNSTABLE, MONSON, AND HOLLIS, N.H. by Charles S. Spaulding, and HISTORY OF HOLLIS, N.H. by S.T. Worcester, with a little help from the Billerica, M.A. town history and Billerica vital records.
Heads of families noted in the Spaulding book are highlighted in blue.
Hopefully Farley researches seeking their roots in Hollis will find the following helpful.
