47. Benjamin Farley (Benjamin , Sr. , Caleb , George ) was born 28 Aug 1708 in Billerica, Massachusetts. He died 13 Dec 1788 in Hollis, New Hampshire and was buried 23 Dec 1788.

This couple came to Hollis after Joanna was called before the Court in Bedford, MA. (1736) Benjamin was one of the first selectman in 1746. It was at his home that the first town meeting was held. He and Peter Powers were assigned to find the first minister for the town of Hollis. His home was on Depot Road which was the site of all parish meetings until the first meeting house was built in 1741.

Benjamin Farley was commissioned lieutenant in the Colonial Militia.

After Benjamin's father's untimely death at age 32, the younger Benjamin was raised by his uncle, Ebenezer Farley.

Benjamin married Joanna Page on 19 Jan 1731/1732 in Newbury, Massachusetts. Joanna was born 10 Aug 1717 in Newbury, Massachusetts. She died 20 May 1797 in Hollis, New Hampshire.

Joanna was a midwife.
In 1734, Joanna was convicted in Superior Court (file no. 125-A-1)(Bedford, MA)
