Introduction

Thor Mikkel Hegland (1858-1945) immigrated to the US from Norway in 1860 with his parents, Mikkel Torgerson Gastjonn Hegland and Sissel Anundsdotter Barskor, his sister Christi (1851-1938) and brother Torger (1855-1934). 

Thor married Gunil Bjornsdatter Gunderson (1860-1897) in Fillmore County MN in 1887. They homesteaded in Rollette County, ND and  had six children. Gunil died in 1897. He married Lina Berge (1876-1945)in 1898. The family moved to Polk County, MN in 1915, eventually settling outside McIntosh. Thor and Lena had seven more children. This tree lists Thor's ancestors and descendants.
