The statue of "Freedom" stands atop the capitol dome in Washington, D. C. She has watched vigilantly and only occasionally has her vision been obscured. On the 11th day of September, 2001 "Freedom" was blinded by the smoke and ash of the terrible attacks on our country. Our tears have washed the air and her vision is restored.
