Okay, so the LeSharo didn't work out!  In July of 2004 we bought a 1990 Shasta Revere!  So there!  The change was decidedly better as we now had a vehicle with American made parts!  On October 12th of 2004, we embarked on our first long trip in the Shasta!  What fun we had!

The western end of our trip was Batesville in Panola Co., MS.  That is where some of my relatives live.  We wanted to do some genealogical research there and visit as well.

We stayed at a wonderful state park for four nights while there.  If you ever want to RV in that area, do go to John W. Kyle State Park at the Sardis Dam!  It was absolutely a dream.  The RV sites were spacious and the campsite beautiful and well kept.

While traveling in Mississippi I just HAD to take photos of the cotton fields!  It wouldn't be Mississippi without them!

After leaving the Batesville area in Mississippi, we traveled eastward to Corinth, MS to take in the Civil War Battle interpretive center there.

Traveling north from Corinth, we visited Shiloh Battlefield Park in Tennessee.

We left Tennessee for Georgia and stayed the last night at Fort Mountain State Park campground.  This is another wonderful place to stay.  The drive up the mountain is a LONG haul though, so make sure you have plenty of power to get up there!  We had a wonderful trip and will be taking more next year!
