James HERON, son of Samuel HERON and Mary MILLER , was born 1822 in Garvachey?, Down, Ireland. He married Margaret CAUGHIE December 14, 1848 in Moormains or Portwilliam, Mochrum. He died March 18, 1864 in High Culmalzie, Kirkinner. Margaret CAUGHIE, daughter of William CAUGHIE and Jane MCMEEKAN , was born 1829 in Stoneykirk, Wigtownshire. She died April 20, 1914 in Portwilliam.
