This Robert HERON is believed to be the son of Agnes DALZIEL and isbelieved to have emigrated to Jamaica, BWI. However, if Agnes DALZIELdied before 1809 then she could not have been the mother of Robert HERONof Jamaica because his will of 1809, speaks of his "good aged mother" inScotland.
1802: Robert receives a land patent.
1809: Robert HERON writes his will in Jamaica. In his will, he mentionshis brother Alexander (who is also in Jamaica) his brother William, hissister Jean, his sister Janet HUGHAN and his "good aged mother" who arein Scotland. He implores his sister Ann, in Jamaica, to look after hisreputed children.
Robert was supposed to have married a Mary HUGHES and was supposed tohave had two children with her, and also about five children with morethan one mistress. But there is no mention of a Mary HUGHES in his will. This Mary HUGHES is believed to have been the wife of another RobertHERON in Jamaica (his uncle?)
