1851 at Barledziew cottage, Sorbie, head, widower, aged 60, pauper(ex-mariner). Also there was his grandaughter Jane HERON (1847-),daughter of Elizabeth McCULLOCH (1822-) and Peter HERON (1818-). Alsothere was Margaret HERON (1797-) a visitor, aged 54 years old, unmarried,housekeeper. It would appear that Margaret was the aunt of Jane HERON.It would appear that Jane's name was spelled incorrectly as Joan on thecensus!
