Andrew HERON\Jean DUNBAR
Andrew HERON, son of Patrick HERON and Mary MCDOWELL , was born 1617 in Kirroughtree, Kirkcudbright. He married Jean DUNBAR abt. 1640. He died in February, 1695. Jean DUNBAR, daughter of John DUNBAR , was born 1623. She died in January, 1696.

1632 July: an Andrew HERON had sasine of the land of Keravtrie, but aPatrick HERON was then supposed to be the owner.
Stated to be the youngest. Married Jean DUNBAR, 2 to 3 years before hisfather's death.
1640: Andrew HEROUNE in Kirouchtrie was a signatory to Minnigaff Parishas part of the Glasgow Declaration.

1668 May: Andrew HERON of Kerruchtree had sasine of the land ofDallashcarnes.
1671 Dec 1: Andrew HERON of Kirrouchtree had sasine of the land ofDallashcairne.
Andrew HERON in possession of Kirrouchtrie, redeemed Dreighmorn from theCrawfurds of Drumsuy. He also purchased the other merkland of theLessons from Patrick MURDOCH of Cumloden, and a wadset on the ten poundland of Littlepark and Craignine and Glenamour, by a right from theARNOTs who had the first security upon a bond of 11,000 merks borrowed bySir Patrick M'KIE when he went to the German war under Gustavus, King ofSweden. This wadset provided that if the money was not paid whenrequired, the creditor was to sit down in the house of Larg and upliftthe readiest rents until paid. He wadset Polrubuy, Tonderghie,Torwinoch, Drumnaight with the house, etc. occupied by Anthony M'CAW allwhich he contracted to his son Patrick.
After his son-in-law John M'KIE's death, he had an adjudication againstthe Larg estate for 50,000 merks which he had given a disposition of tohis son-in-law, and 10,000 merks to his daughter with James LIDDERDALE,in balance of her life rent on the Larg estate. (Source: McKerlie)
