Lydia was born January 27, 1876 at 10:25 a.m. at Meikle Mark, Parish ofLeswalt. Her mother's name was Martha HERON, a house-servant. Theinformant was Mary HERON, grandmother, present. The father's name was notrecorded, but Lydia Alexander HERON is believed to have been the'natural' daughter of Martha HERON and a Robert MURRAY.
1881: Lydia Alexander HERON was at West Kirkbride with her grandfather,grandmother, her aunt Jane HERON, and presumably her mother MargaretCAMPBELL also there.
1891: Lydia was living at High Caldons cottage, Stoneykirk, with andlooking after John HERON, her grandfather
