CARLISLE—Miss Laura Kristene Larsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kristen Larsen of  Bellows Hill road, became the bride of Bobby Gene Higginbotham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Higginbotham of 109 Columbia street, Greenwood, S. C., on Saturday night, Jan. 28, at the Carlisle Congregational church.

Rev. Robert B. Dempsey, pastor, performed the ceremony at a 7 o'clock candle service and the altar was prettily decorated with gladioli and stephanotis. Soloist was Mrs. Ellen Tuomanen of Acton, who sang 'Through the Years," "Because of You" and "The Lord's Prayer."

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of Chantilly lace over satin with short train, fingertip veil with pearl rhinestone crown. She carried stephanotis and orchids on her Rainbow Bible.

Maid of honor was Miss Gertrude Eliasen and she wore a gown of cotillion blue and the bridesmaids, the Misses Joan Davis and Virginia Wilkie, wore pink gowns. Flower girl was Sunday Dempsey, daughter of the pastor, and she wore a cotillion blue gown.

Best man was Terence Hall and ushers were Donald Hofling and William Gooch, friends of the bridegroom from Fort Devens. The reception was held in the church hall with Betty Philbrook in charge of the guest book.

The bride's mother wore navy blue with pink accessories and the bridegroom's mother wore navy blue with light blue accessories. Each had corsages of small pink roses.

The couple left on a wedding trip to New York city, with the bride wearing black with winter white accessories and an orchid corsage. On their return they will live in Carlisle.

Mrs. Higginbotham is a graduate of Concord high school and Lowell Commercial college and a past worthy adviser of Concord Rainbow assembly. She is employed at a Bedford plant. The bridegroom was educated Greenwood schools, and is stationed with the U. S. Army at Fort Devens.
