• Burial*: before 1900; Spring Creek Cemetery, Lee Co., Arkansas, USA; Mary Ann (Brown) Shackelford married A.M. Wells on April 02, 1884, in Lee County. He was listed as 55 years of age at the time of their marriage, and that would make his year of birth about 1829. It appears that Mr. Wells died prior to 1900 because that year Mary Ann was living with her daughter Lula Brooks and Lula's husband, merchant James Jasper Brooks, and Mary Ann is listed as a widow. It is assumed that Mary Ann would have buried Mr. Wells here in this cemetery when he died. No other information about him has been found.

  She was preceeded in death by a brother, Gary Wells.
  
  The funeral services were at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Dogwood Cemetery.
