In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gladys Powers, on December 24, 1997. Funeral service will be held Friday, May 11, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Rose Hill Burial Park in Hamilton. Pastor Eric Newell will officiate.     EAST LIVERPOOL - Carolyn B. Wells, 78, a native of San Antonio, Texas, and long-time resident of Virginia Terrace, Newell, passed away at 5:45 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2005, at the East Liverpool City Hospital.

    Born in San Antonio on May 15, 1927, a daughter of the late Kurt and Mary Louise Price Beckmann, she was a member of the class of 1945 at Jefferson High School in San Antonio. She then went on to Stephens College in Columbia, Mo. from which she was graduated in 1947.

    A member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in East Liverpool for more than 50 years, as well as its Altar Guild, she was also a member of the Junior League in San Antonio and the National Society of Colonial Dames of America.

    An associate member and past president of the Monday Literary Club, she was also a member of East Liverpool City Hospital Auxiliary.

    She enjoyed traveling, photography and fishing.

    Surviving at home is her husband, Robert M. Wells, whom she married on May 2, 1953, when she moved from San Antonio to the East Liverpool area.

    A godson, William P. Z. Clark of Santa Monica, Calif. and many wonderful cousins survive.

    Friends may call Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

    The Rev. Steven McKeown of the church and Rev. Tanta Luckhardt-Hendricks of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church will conduct memorial services at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m.

    Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
