He was a member of Gospel Crusaders Church, & was a 6th Ward-Committeeman for many years.
  Preceded in death in 1982 by his wife, Margaret, he is survived by son, Kenneth E.; and son and daughter-in-law, Donald E. and Fran Wells, all of Akron; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth, Florence and Dorothy Wells; brothers-in-law, Robert Wheland and Fred Luedtke and his wife, Millie; sister-in-law, Ruth Luedtke; several nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services Monday, 2 p.m., at the Hopkins Lawyer Funeral Home, 547 Canto Road, Akron, Rev. Robert E. Sullivan, Dr. Franklin S. Nauman, and Rev. Curtis Thomas officiating.
  Burial Hillside Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
