  Age 71, passed away peacefully at her home in Wilmington, Delaware on July 8, 2011.
  
  She was the youngest of 12. She attended St. Hedwig's grade school and graduated from St. Elizabeth's high school in 1957. In her life, Carolyn worked as a secretary in both the corporate and education worlds, but found the most joy in staying home and raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic who enjoyed going to daily mass. Her friends and family will always remember her for saying what was on her mind, standing up for what she believed in, and her impeccable organizational skills.
  
  Carolyn wa predeceased by her parents, Valentine and Mary; 3 brothers, William, Francis, and Edward and her sister, Florence. She is survived by Van Wells, her husband of 49 years; her children, Maureen Lanshe and Christopher and her grandchildren, Bryan, Sean, Charlee, and Brooke. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Albin and Lawrence, and 5 sisters, Sr. Laetitia, Dorothy Blaschke, Elizabeth Barczewski, Sr. deLourdes and Leona Papagno.
  
  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, July 12 at 10:30 am, at St. Joseph on the Brandywine. Where friends may visit with the family beginning at 9:30 am. Burial will immediately follow mass at the adjoining cemetery.
