Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Allison Wells; daughter, Mrs. Ruth Wells Stone, St. Joseph, Missouri; son, Huey Thomas Wells, Jr., Tuscaloosa; granddaughter, Miss Allison Stone, St. Joseph, Missouri; mother, Mrs. Lula Weir Wells, Gadsden; sisters, Mrs. Charles H. Davis, Jr. and Mrs. Jack Flannigan both of Gadsden and brother, Dr. W.B. Wells, Gadsden. Graveside service today at 4:30 at Forrest Cemetery. He was a native of Boaz and a resident of Gadsden most of his life. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Gadsden. Dr. Wells was a lifetime member of Alabama Dental Association, American Dental Association, Association of Pierre Fauchard Academy, Minneapolis, Minnesota and served on the Alabama State Board of Dental Examiners. He was a member of Board of Directors of American National Bank; past president of Gadsden Country Club; former member of Gadsden Lions Club and Gadsden Quarterback Club. Dr. wells graduated from Samford University (formerly Howard College); received his D.D.S. from Emory University and also attended Forsythe University, Boston. He was a member of Lambda Chi Howard College and Xi Phi Dental Fraternity. Dr. Wells had been a dentist in Gadsden since 1931. Collier-Butler Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
