I ws glad to get your letters this morning. Thursday. I felt like one of you was sick was why I didn't hear soone Your papa didn't sleep any last night. Last Sunday night his right leg began hurting halfway between knee and anks red and hot with fever. The whole leg and foot swollen. It isn't hurting now but still looks bad. I wrap it rigen with a cloth wet with hot viniger. His other eye is getting so dim he can scascely see at times. Looks like evng is stricking him. I want to tell you children don't move into the house with the doctors wife. You would havepense of moving and perhaps be told in a short time to move again and have the pleasure of hunting a house. Besidre is nothing like having a home to your self. Your grocery bills will be smaller. You know you can do on very lihen you don't feel like cooking. This is your business but I think you will regret it if yu move. You don't know how long he will be gone. I must. Mother!
