Arvilla was born on the last day of February, 1878, in Lamar County, Alabama.
She was the youngest child of Joseph Webb and Lucinda Emiline Evans
Webb and her parents were 56 and 40 when they had her. Her father was
killed a year and a half later in a wagon accident and her mother raised
her by herself.
It is not known if Villa married William Henry Hall while they were back
in Mississippi or not. I think it probably happened in Oklahoama. Emiline
and the kids had moved out to southeastern Oklahoma in 1893, and Villa married
on January 30, 1897. William was born in 1869 and so he was about nine
years older than her. He was the son of Arvin and Mary Hall and Villa
knew him as her brother's brother-in-law, since Villa's brother Tom had married
Betsy Hall, William's sister, back in 1887 in Mississippi.
After they married, a year and a half passed before they had their first child, Lonnie Reginald Hall, on August 14, 1899, in Monroe, LeFlore County, Oklahoma. They had William Coy in 1901 and Jeptha Herbert in 1905. William
was a farmer and had a number of orchards that he grew fruits in out in Oklahoma.
They both had relatively long lives, but on December 9, 1947, William
died at the age of 78 in Poteau. Villa lived a while after that, but
in 1962, she passed away in Fairview, Oklahoma, at the age of 83. They
are both buried in the Monroe Cemetery in Monroe, Oklahoma.
Lonnie Reginald Hall
(md. Ailene Hughes)
Lonnie was born on August 14, 1899, in Monroe. He
married Ailene, who was just a few months older than him, and the couple
eventually moved to Kansas. Lonnie lost an arm in an accident at one
point in his life. He and Ailene had one daughter, Lonnell, who passed
away in 2000. Lonnie passed away on May 30, 1980, at the age of 80,
in Wichita, Kansas. Ailene died in March of 1986 in Wichita. They
are both buried in the Lakeview Memorial Gardens there.
William Coy Hall
(md. Ocie Lucille Chaney)
William Coy Hall was born on August 1, 1901, in Monroe.
He and Ocie, who was four years his junior, were married and eventually
moved to Fresno County, California. They had two sons together. He
passed away on May 21, 1980, out in Fresno, but was buried a week later in
the Monroe Cemetery in Monroe, Oklahoma. Ocie passed away at some time
that same year and was also buried in Oklahoma.
Jeptha Herbert "Jeppy" Hall
(md. Ellen Elizabeth Eaton)
Jeppy was born on December 30, 1905, in Monroe. He
married Ellen, who was born on August 26, 1904, and who was from Corinth,
Mississippi, on April 7, 1925. They had four children together, but
only three of them reached an adult age; Carolyn Sue Hall was born the day
the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, and she only lived a couple of days after
that. Jeppy was a farmer and construction worker and only passed away
recently. Ellen passed away on August 8, 2000, at the advanced age
of 95, and then on December 10, of that same year, Jeppy died, at the age
of 94. They were both buried in the Monroe Cemetery in Monroe, Oklahoma.
