David Blaylock seems to have been the eldest child of Mary Ann "Polly" Webb Blaylock and John Robert "Bob" Blaylock. He was born about 1872 in probably Lamar County, Alabama. He married Mary Frances Walden sometime around 1895. According to some descendants, she was a full-blooded Cherokee Indian, but I know nothing about her parents or ethnicity for sure. They had approximately five children together before she passed away sometime around 1918. It was then that she was buried in the Macedonia Primitive Church Cemetery in Lamar County, Alabama.
David married another woman after Mary Frances passed away. Her name was Edna Lemey. At some point, David went away and wound up in, of all places, Cuba. He came back from Cuba and was, for a while, kept at an asylum in Meridian, Mississippi. In about 1929, he went to Oklahoma for a while too. He passed away after Edna did, sometime between 1933 and 1935, in Meridian.
David sure seems to have been an interesting character, and maybe more
information will surface about him soon. If you know anything else,
please contact me!
Leonard Hilbert Blaylock
(md. Amanda Cordelia "Delia" Williams)
Leonard Hilbert and Delia had about eleven children together.
He passed away at a young age though, to have that many children. He
died on December 10, 1936, at the age of 38. He is buried in Pleasant
Ridge Cemetery. Leonard Hilbert was a very intelligent man and made
a generator which supplied there family with lights. He also made clothes
for the kids patterns and all. He got gangareen in his leg and it killed
him.
