Carrie Lee Webb was born on June 3, 1899, probably in Callahan County, Texas.  She was one of the youngest children in the family and her parents had already been married for more than twenty years when they had her.  

When she was 25 years old her father passed away.  Shortly after that she married Thomas Warren Shields.  They both lived in Houston, Texas, where he worked for Shell Oil Company.

In 1966, at the age of 73, Thomas passed away in Houston.  The obituary is given below.  She lived another decade, but in November of 1976, she too passed away in Houston.  Her obituary is also given below.
