Moores Flat Townsite
This hydraulic gold mining town was founded in 1851. By 1880 it was a trade center with a population of 500. It was the birthplace of Isaac Zellerbach, founder of the Crown Zellerbach Corporation. The mines began to fail in 1895 and the town was soon abandoned.
