SIDEWALKS

By authority given under articles 21 . and 40 of theTown Warrant at the April meeting, the Selectmen havebuilt ,gravel sidewalks

On west side of Broad Street, extending from Main to Lincoln Street, at a cost of  $204.00
And on the east side of Florence Street, from  Main to Florence Court, at a cost of  $65.00
We have laid 761 1/3 yards of concrete at .60 cents per yard, amounting to $456.80
And re-covered 285 yards at .40 cents per yard,  amounting to $114.00
Also re-covered 125 yards at .30 cents per yard,  amounting to $37.50

The Town Treasurer has received from abutters, where concrete walks were put in, $359.52

Repairs have been made on the gravel walks on Main, Prospect, Liberty, South, East Main and Elm Streets.
The amounts paid for labor and material on Side-walks are ,

W. A. Walker, foreman, $537.28
John Lynch, for stone, $6.40
 Joseph Smith, grading and concreting, $378.60
Charles O'Grady, grading and concreting, $231.7 0
Wm. G. Ellis, foreman,  $115.86
Wm. Bevan, labor on iron work, $7.04
S. P. Litchfield, for stone,  $21.10
O. P. Walker, labor and material, $40.15
Ephraim Howe, labor, $1 5.00

Williams District school house and land, 1,000 (old #3 - was on Williams/Forrest)
Rice District school house and land, 1,000 (old #4 - was on the corner of Glen/Rt. 20)*
Warren District school house and land, 1,000 (unknown)
Robin Hill District school house and land, 1,000 (old #6 - on Robin Hill just past Berlin intersection now I-290)
Elm street school building, 1,000 (old #5 -  corner of Elm/Bigelow)
Town Farm buildings and land, 8,000 (in now Hudson on Rt. 62 recently called the Hudson Poor Farm)
