MARLBOROUGH PLANTATION 1667 ~

Drafted March 15, 1667 by Samuel Andrews

This map shows the original bounderies prior to setting off Westboro and Southboro and Hudson.  These townships would be located to the right of the map as you look at it.  North is denoted by the compass point.  The buildings denote the orignal area of settlement and approximately where now stands the Walker Building.  The area above, not bounded, is the Indian Planting Field (in the notched area) and the Indian Plantation, all of which eventually was taken by  Marlborough.  The original settlement was known as Whipsuppenicke and the proprietors held on September 35th 1656 a meeting to draw lots.
