The following statement precedes all deeds......
Known all men by those Present. That I (name of debtor) of Marlborough in the County of Middlesex and Commomwealth of Massachusetts, (occupation of debtor), in consideration of (the amount) to me paid by (creditor) of said Marlborough (occupation) , the receipt where of . I do hereby acknowledge, do thereby give, grant, sell and convy unto the said (creditor) the following described personal property.
To have and to hold the aforementioned promises to the said (creditor) his Heirs and Assigns to his and their use and behoof forever. Provided, never the less, that if the said (debtor) his Heirs, Executors or administrators pay to the said (creditor) his Heirs, executors, administrators or assigns the sum of (the amount) in (amount of days) with interest, then this Deed as also a certain Note of hand bearing even date with those present given by said (debtor) to the said (creditor) to pay the said sum of (the amount) at the time aforesaid shall both be void, otherwise shall remain in full force.
The following statement follows the listing of personal property
In witness where of I have unto set mt hand and seal this (date of agreement)
Marlborough (date of agreement). Then the above Deed was received into the Town Clerks Office and recorded by me.
